About Me

Jill with two brides signing their marriage certificate

I fell in love with weddings when attending my first at six years old. Everything about that first wedding was magical; from the bride in her beautiful dress to the groomsmen, which included my dad, in their matching cobalt blue suits.  My favourite part of the wedding was the announcement, “You may now kiss the bride”.  So romantic!

I’ve been known to beep at wedding cars as they drive past, wave to beautiful brides and her bridesmaids at traffic lights, and linger for a long look at a wedding in a park. They’re events that are just so joyous and compelling to me.

In the back of my mind, as I was pursuing other careers, I had always dreamed of being a celebrant, but I figured it would have to wait until my next life. I love that I decided to make this dream come true in this life, so that I can help you to bring your dream wedding to reality.

‘Jill has a way of making you feel comfortable from the very initial meeting. She made sure our day was exactly how we wanted it to be, right down to the last second. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to formalise our commitment and share our day. We walked away thankful that we found her and grateful to share a bond that will last a lifetime. She’s committed to making our day run smoothly from the get go, and was truly invested in our story/ love for one another. We had multiple face to face sessions in her own time to get things right and she wasn’t phased by rocking up early on the wedding day to help with any minor things. (She even did some printing before arriving for us as one of our bridesmaids lost their speech) We received many remarks “so how long have you known the celebrant for” from our guests. We guess this just showed our guests how she treated us as friends not clients. We hope anyone else getting married in the future chooses her services because it’s the best decision we made and was a dream to work with.‘ – Sim and Rach
